Dave Dunbar

Dave Dunbar uses on-site facility evaluations to thoroughly analyze member risk. He combines that analysis with claims trends to recommend training courses designed to minimize liability exposure. Outlining available Fund coverage options with each member helps ensure appropriate coverage and maximum safety for Sheriffs, their deputies, and staff.

Prior to joining the Florida Sheriffs Risk Management Fund, Dunbar held progressive leadership positions with Hunt Insurance Group in addition to helping with the marketing of the Sheriffs’ Self Insurance Programs. Nearly two decades earlier, he helped form and served as president of Broward Williams Insurance Agency.

Dunbar has served on the Agents Advisory Council for the Seibels Bruce Insurance Group and the Ohio Casualty Insurance Company and is a past President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Tallahassee.
