Grants Overview

FSRMF’s Risk Management Services blends experienced law enforcement professionals with research, policy, and analytics tools to assist members with developing, implementing, and laying the foundation for data-driven approaches to identify and mitigate risks.

Our grants program is aimed at assisting members with acquiring funding to develop and implement programs, initiatives, or services to improve public safety and the overall health, safety, and wellness of Florida’s Sheriffs and their employees.

FSRMF’s Risk Management Services and grants program provides the following services and assistance to members at no additional cost:

 

PRE-AWARD ACTIVITIES

  • Grant seeking
  • Research, analysis, information-gathering
  • Stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and coordination
  • Proposal development, review, and content editing

 

POST-AWARD ACTIVITIES

  • Grant management
  • Financial and performance data collection and reporting
  • Program assessments and evaluations
  • Procurement, contracts and subawards
  • Compliance management (administrative, financial, and programmatic)
  • Subrecipient management, risk assessments and monitoring

 

TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

  • 2 CFR 200 and other State and Federal guidance
  • Communicating with grantors/funders
  • Mock compliance reviews with recommendations
  • Developing or implementing corrective actions and compliance resolutions
  • Grants-related policy research and development
