Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Apryl relocated to Tallahassee to attend college. After graduating from Florida A & M University in 2003, she was hired as an Underwriting Intern for a local insurance company, and has loved being in the insurance industry ever since.
In 2008, Apryl began working with the Sheriff’s programs and has demonstrated her ability to work with any program that is assigned to her. At various times during her tenure, she has been the assigned Underwriter for all three programs within the Fund. She is currently responsible for the Florida Sheriffs Self Insurance Program. She also is an agent for the Florida Sheriffs Insurance Agency, specializing in Statutory Death Benefits coverage, which protects the loved ones of those that risk their lives for the citizens of Florida.
In addition to her degree from Florida A & M University, Apryl earned the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and is currently working toward the Risk Management for Public Entities (RMPE) designation. She also holds a Florida 2-20 General Lines License.
